Autumn Ace Run @ Crane Creek

The first annual Legacy Ace Run held today at the Crane Creek course was a great success. We ended up with 28 enthusiastic disc golfers ready to tackle the “Aces Only” format. We, of course, offer a “modified Aces only” format with points being given for metal contact.

Players received a great players package which was provided by Legacy Discs. Thank you, Legacy. Each player received a brand new (as we just received them Thursday) Crane Creek glow-in-the-dark mini, a really great Dri-weave Legacy t-shirt, an Icon Ghost and a n Excel Ghost. The package was easily worth twice the buy-in price.

Four temporary baskets were used to enable us to play only the front of the course. The course played so quickly that we actually ended up playing three rounds instead of two. No one was ready to leave yet.

Trevor Hodjins won the event with a whopping 21 points. For his efforts, he received the First place trophy, a stack (10) of Legacy discs and a Crane Creek Stash Container.

Mustang Harris, who showed everyone he was sick of being on the injured/disabled list, roared back into action to take second place with a total of 15 points. He received the Second place trophy, a Crane Creek T-shirt, a Legacy Hat and two discs of his choice from the Crane Creek stash.

Adam Buck, with his score of 11 took home the third place trophy, a Crane Creek T-shirt, a disc from our stash and a Crane Creek Stash Container.

An honorable mention…well it would have been fourth place if we had awarded down that far, we to an ‘old time” UFOS, John Wright for his score of 9.

Congratulations all! This concludes the Crane Creek event schedule for 2012 (other than the weekly events of course). We will be back in the New Year (If the Mayans don’t carry us off), with the Crane Creek Spring Fling on March 30th. The format for this one may be a little different so watch the site for details. Over and Out.
