The National Tour was in Kansas City last weekend, where Oklahoma’s Ron Convers came in to steal some thunder, winning the Masters division by four throws. Nate Doss was solid, taking 2nd in Open with Eric McCabe 6th, Adam Olsen 7th, and Kathy Manley 3rd.

This Sarasota Sky Pilot is rated 1003 and loves to tear up the Florida disc golf courses with his Discraft plastic. “The most important and technical aspect of disc golf is putting,” he says. “This is the area that separates the top amateurs from the professionals.”
With his second NT win of the season at the Canadian Open, 2005 World Champ Nathan Doss has cemented his place as the top ranked disc golfer in the world, according to independent rankings published by Marshall Street Disc Golf. The bump also puts Doss into the number one slot for 2007 Player of the Year. He is the first player to displace Ken Climo from the top spot since the rankings were established two years ago.
2005 World Champ Nate Doss won his first National Tour event of the season with a playoff victory at the Beaver State Fling in Oregon. The win was thanks in part to an awesome 1055 rated first round, when he shot 52. Teammate Kathy Manley was one throw out of second place and finished third for an additional strong finish. Adam Olsen won the Iowa SuperTour. Other weekend winners included Barrett White, Kim Scott-Wood and Mike Raley
Columbus, Ohio - Stanford Superfly won their third straight UPA College Women’s Championship and the Wisconsin Hodags earned the Open College Championship after finishing runner-up a year ago.

Minnesota’s Cale Leiviska defeated teammate Gregg Barsby in a playoff over the weekend to earn his first National Tour victory at the Discraft Great Lakes Open in Michigan. Also winning their divisions: Washington’s Scott Papa (Masters) and Grandmaster Mark Ellis.
