This one is hot! The flyer for the 2008 KOA Pro/Am Jam is up. This year’s event is Pre-Reg Only! So be sure to register early. There will be no on-site registration on the day of the event which is June 7th and 8th. This is a ‘do not miss’ tournament so we’ll see you there. John Ross announces the 24 Karet Gold Tourney for Mixed Doubles will take place from Friday, April 18th through Sunday, April 20th, 2008. I’m happy to report that there was a great turnout for the first John McLeod Memorial held at Highland Springs in Lakeport on Saturday, February 23rd.  In spite of the horrific weather, 44 of you hard-core golf warriors turned up to brave the downpour and honor John.  Truly no wimps, no whiners.  Congratulations go out to Brett Lewis, who aced hole 5 (in spite of the wind), and George Houston, who aced hole 7.   Although the weather was hardly the best, I think a good time was had by all.

The first John McLeod (Old Man John) Memorial will take place next Saturday, February 23rd, at Highland Springs in Lakeport.
Checkin time will be 9:30am. In addition to tournament play, there will be a ceremonial scattering of Peaches’ (John’s Pug) ashes on the course. Come out and honor the memory of ‘Old Man John’ who was a fixture on North-Bay courses.

The 2007 Stafford Lake Pro-Am tournament is being held on March 31st and April 1st at (where else?) Stafford Lake in Novato California. This date is rapidly approaching and the cutoff date is the 24th, so download the registration form from our downloads page and send it in as soon as possible.. This is a PDGA sanctioned event.

This year’s Pro-Am Jam will be held on June 2nd and 3rd at the KOA Kampgrounds in Willits California. This is pretty much everyone’s favorite tournament so you won’t want to miss it. (more…)
