The Saturday night collectible auction held at this year’s KOA Pro/Am Jam was a tremendous success. So many contributed their collectible items so we could auction them off with the proceeds going to Steve. From the Saturday night auction alone, we raised over $1400.00 dollars. There was a special raffle of a basket the following day that netted a another couple of hundred dollars. Disc Golfers have huge hearts. We love them all.<–more–>
The bad side of this is that Steve didn’t do well at Willits. There was a trip to the local emergency room on Friday night because he was having trouble breathing. A couple of days before, he was diagnosed with a small embolism in the lung which made breathing difficult. He was given meds for it but they are taking a while to kick in. He did get some better sleeping pills so he did sleep better on Saturday night. He really didn’t feel well so he went home on Sunday night and promptly check into the emergency room in Santa Rosa. He came home about 5am this morning (Monday) but had to go back this afternoon. He was supposed to have an appointment this morning but it was canceled by the hospital. He will now go in tomorrow morning. I hope they can do something for him.
